Helen has been teaching Pilates for three years and firmly believes that there is always something valuable to learn about movement and the mind & body. She is keen to learn other methods of movement as well as Pilates and enjoys threading new creative movement ideas into her lesson plans. She trained In Level 3 Matwork with the Body Control Pilates Association, which is a world leading training organisation that works on the building blocks approach, increasing confidence and strength before adding on progression. She continues to improve her knowledge and has further qualified in Reformer (studio equipment), Intermediate mat, Pregnancy & Post Natal, Pilates for Golfers, HIP Pilates Matwork & Reformer (High Intensity Power Pilates).
Helen understands that it can be difficult for some to find the time to fit Pilates into their busy routine. She appreciates that clients invest time and effort in her classes and she is creative in her lesson planning to make their ‘me time’ worthwhile. It is her goal for clients to leave class feeling invigorated with a restored sense of wellbeing.
"I found a movement practise that really switched me on mentally and physically. Pilates not only stretches, mobilises and strengthens my body, but it gives me a sense of focus. If I feel anxious or stressed, a session on my mat or reformer brings me clarity and leaves me feeling fresh and energised." I would love to teach you how this wonderful movement technique can enrich your life.
